A great memoir was recently released on the life of former Kiss drummer Peter Criss. In the midst of his current book tour, we at BackstageAxxess were grateful that we were able to sit down and talk to this legendary drummer.

We talked about his unique relationship with his mom. We also chatted away about his love of his idol Gene Krupa. In addition, we talked about what took place when he signed his first record deal with KISS. Plus much more was discussed as well.

CASABLANCA SINGLES BOX
The release of the "Casablanca Singles Box" was officially announced a few days ago here via Kissonline.
The Vinyl Box Set so far was only available in the US through Mercury Select online.
However, Kiss News has just learned, that the Vinyl Box Set will also be coming out worldwide, but is strictly limited to a few copies in each country similar to the Monster Picture Disc. International release date is November 30, 2011. Each Box Set is limited to 2.500 units worldwide. More infos on the price and availability here very soon.

Kiss: Monster – review

Peter Criss will take part on a "walk for breast cancer" on October 12, 2012. More infos here.
Peter will release his autobiography on Ocober 23, 2012. Here is already a review of the book.

Peter will sign autographs at the "Mad Monster Party" in Charlotte, NC. It takes place from March 22 - 24, 2013. This is interesting since the Movie Days in Dortmund are taking place at the same time, where Peter was said to be a possible Special Guset.

Monster is storming the charts wordwide. Check out the chart entries around the world on this site. Also in the Czech Republic Kiss entered the charts at No. 2 (thanks to Pavel Hromada for the info).

In Scandinavia the tickets for the Kiss concerts in the summer 2013 went already on sale. According to Aftonbladet there are already 17.000 of the 25.000 available tickets sold for the Norwegian concert. In Stockholm Kiss play in a new football stadium, which holds more than 60.000 people.

A new Tribute Album will be released in Japan on November 21, 2012: Beatles meets Kiss. More infos at CD Japan.


The Kiss Kruise II will take off in a few days. Another single from the new album is supposedly also coming out. "The Tour" with Mötley Crüe has ended, and the real "Monster" Tour will start in November in South America. According to Paul, there will be also changes to the stage and of course the set list will be longer. In January Kiss will play in Australia, and in May/June another European Tour is in the works ...

OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO PAUL

Eva Eisen, Paul Stanley's mother, died Saturday, Sept. 29th. She was 88 years old.

Paul writes, "My mother found so much pleasure and fulfillment in all the various types of music that she so loved. It was through her that I too found that same passion. She lived long enough to see, enjoy and love an extended family that included her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She found numerous ways to contribute to her community and was appreciated and loved by those who knew her. My mom was the matriarch of our family and words cannot express our loss."

From the earliest days of KISS until recently, Eva was always seen by fans at New York area shows.

We send our deepest sympathies to Paul and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
