KISS PARODY ON
SPANISH TV
(from Javier Rueda Moya/kissarmyspain.com)
Sé lo que hicistéis. (SLQH) " I know what you did ", the daily
afternoon program broadcasted on the Spanish TV channel "La Sexta", parodied
KISS. The program's originality was based on the target of the funny criticism by the
program hostesses mainly about KISS and Paul Stanley singing without instruments
"cucurrucucu, una paloma blanca", and later by adding rumba music to a band's
performance video. The joked-specialized comedian actress Patricia Conde conducted the
program along with her collaborator Angel Martin.

BRUCE KULICK ON
NEW LORDI ALBUM
Lordis latest album "Babez for
Breakfast" was released 4 weeks ago and entered the finnish pop charts at number 9.
Just like on the multi platinum Lordi album The arockalypse, Bruce kulick
plays a solo on one of the tracks.
Mr. Lordi: I spent five days in L.A. writing two songs with Bruce. Call Off The
Wedding is a ballad, but nothing like you´ve heard from Lordi before. Lot of clean
guitars there for example. Bruce Kulick and I wrote it together and Bruce played the solo
on it. There are REAL strings on it, and they were recorded in the same studio in L.A.
where he has recorded his solo albums.
Lordi will embark on a 7 week tour of Europe, starting in Russia on 5 November 2010.

SAMANTHA FOX ON
PAUL STANLEY
Rockconfidential did an
interview with Samantha Fox.
Here's what she had to say about Paul Stanley:
It was a wonderful time. I remember moving to New York. Every week I was flying
back and forth to New York. I was constantly jet-lagged and burnt out. All I thought about
New York was guns, gangs, rapes and drugs! That what I saw on TV, ya know? My bass player
had moved to Albany. I knew him very well. I moved out my best friend and PA so it
wasnt like I moved out all on my own. I had friends at the record company. I was
recording one day with Full Force. We were working on the Just One Night record,
I think. Paul was doing some solo stuff away from Kiss. He really liked the Naughty
Girls song I did. He got in touch with Full Force to work on a track. I was
recording and he heard I was in the studio because he was working with Full Force at that
time. I dont think anything ever came about with that track. I think he wanted to
meet me because he just happened to turn up the day I was singing. Full Force introduced
me to Paul. I was a big Kiss fan anyway. Ten minutes after he left he called me from his
limousine and asked me out on a date. I was new in the States and up for meeting new
people. I wasnt thinking about a love affair at that time. I said OK and
he said, Well, how about tonight? We went out for a great meal and he ended up
showing me the America I didnt know. While I was recording the album Paul was doing
a short tour of the States. In between the album I went on tour with him and saw how he
did things the rock n roll. way. I had a great time with Paul and learned a
lot from him. Hes a very talented guy. We had a great love affair.
I went on tour for six months on a bus with a band. Me and Paul tried to see each other
when we could. He was then on tour with Kiss. After that tour I became a tax exile because
I was paying so much tax and all of my money was basically going to managers and the tax
man. I went to live in Spain for a year and our love affair just kind of fizzled out.
There were no arguments or bad feelings. It was just a case of being apart. I have great
memories of Paul. Hes a really nice guy. Hes a bit older than me but what can
I say? Im sure he lied about his age then! Kiss is still a fantastic band and in
1989 theyd done far more than Id done. Listening to their stories and his
wisdom was fantastic.

ESTIMATED 12.000
TURN OUT TO WALK, HELP BREAST CANCER
(from app.com)
POINT PLEASANT BEACH Lauren Stepnosky can vividly recall the exact
moment she got the news that no one ever wants to hear.
"You have (breast) cancer," said Stepnosky, 37, of Atlantic Highlands,
repeating the words she remembers her doctor telling her at exactly 6 p.m. on September 25
last year.
Now, nearly 13 months later, Stepnosky can call herself
something else: a cancer survivor.
"After 16 rounds of chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy and breast reconstruction
last month, I'm here today," Stepnosky told an estimated crowd of 12,000 Sunday
morning at the American Cancer Society's 15th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
five-kilometer walk.
"I, unfortunately, didn't jump into their (American Cancer Society) program as I
should have; I didn't pay attention to myself," Stepnosky said.
Stepnosky encouraged the walkers, who filled the Arnold Avenue municipal parking lot, to get involved with the American Cancer Society.
"It's about awareness, and it's about help," Stepnosky said. "We are here today in an effort to cancel out breast cancer all cancer."
American Cancer Society officials estimated Sunday's walk would generate about $1.2 million in donations for breast cancer research.
For Peter Criss, former drummer of the rock band
"Kiss," who found out he had male breast cancer and was treated in 2008, the
annual walk is a living example that when people pull together for a cause they can
figuratively move mountains.

TOMMY AND
BLACK'N BLUE INDUCTED INTO THE OREGON MUSIC HALL OF FAME
(from tommythayer.com)
Tommy tells the story...
Saturday, October 9th, 2010 Black 'N Blue was proudly inducted into the Oregon
Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony and party at Portland's Roseland Theatre included dear
friends, family and a ton of B 'N B fans. A fantastic introduction by Peter Tashjian, son
of our beloved manager Garo, told the story of how in 1983, five irrepressible young
rockers (barely out of high school) made their way to Hollywood to take their shot at the
big time. After our introduction, induction and receipt of OMHOF plaques,
we jumped onstage for a 30-minute set of B 'N B faves, including "Hold On To
18", "Miss Mystery" and "Nasty Nasty" among others. It was a
great feeling to get together with Jaime, Pete, Patrick and Woop and let the good times
roll again; and to celebrate all things Black 'N Blue!

INTERVIEW WITH
EX-MEMBER OF KISS BRUCE KULICK
(from suite101.com)
The long-time lead guitarist for one of rock's most legendary acts chats to Suite
101 about his time with the group.
Joining Kiss
Vinnie Vincent left amid controversy in 1984, with the lead guitar spot then being
occupied for a very short time by the late Mark St. John, who, due to health reasons, was
subsequently replaced by Brooklyn-native, Bruce Kulick - all within the same year.
Kulick would remain with the group until Simmons and Stanley reunited with Frehley and
Criss 12 years later.
"I never thought it would last as long as my 12 years did," says Bruce today.
"I joined as I helped them on a few songs for the Animalize album and then when Mark
St. John got ill, I filled in till of course 1996."

PETER SPEAKS
ABOUT NEW ALBUM, AUTOBIOGRAPHY
(from Blabbermouth)
According to KissAsylum.com, original KISS drummer Peter Criss was the featured
guest on last night's (Friday, October 8) edition of Eddie Trunk's "Friday Night
Rocks" radio show on New York's Q104.3 FM. Criss spoke mainly about with battle with
breast cancer and upcoming American Cancer Society walk. Thus far, donations in support of
Peter's walk have reached more than $7,000.
Regarding his next rock solo album, Criss stated, "I did finish 13 tracks. 10 of them
are pretty much done, although now I have to go put vocals on them. [It's] up in the
air.... I've been shying away from it because I won't do it if I don't really feel it. And
I'm going to put everything I've got and own into it. This October month is killing me
because I am doing all of this cancer stuff.... Every time I do go down [to the studio]
and listen to it, I go, 'Jesus Christ, this is so damn good. I have to finish this.'"
On the topic of his upcoming autobiography, he said, "The book will happen when it
happens. I work on it; I don't. I work on it; I don't. But I know I'll do it...I'm just
right now really wrapped into this."
While some men feel embarrassed because of "this macho crap," Criss
told CNN surviving breast cancer was actually a blessing. He was
treated before the tumor could spread and said he was speaking about male breast cancer to
raise the profile of this rare disease.
Criss, who played drums for KISS and was
known as "Catman," offered this advice to men who spot lumps in their breast:
"Don't sit around playing Mr. Tough Guy. Don't say 'It's going to go away.' It might
not and you might not see life anymore and how beautiful that is."
Criss, who is currently working on an autobiography as well as a
new rock album, told Reuters his bout with cancer had affected his
songwriting.
"My lyrics are not so deep and dismal," he said. One of the tracks on the album,
expected next year, is called "Hard Rock Knockers".
Regarding the fact that his old KISS bandmates, Paul
Stanley and Gene Simmons, are currently on a North American
tour of arenas with two new band members, one in the make-up of Criss'
"Catman" character and the other as ex-guitarist Ace Frehley's
"Spaceman," Peter told Reuters,
"You want to put two clones up there in our makeup, that's great. Must I keep putting
spandex and makeup on at 70 I don't think I really want to do that."

GENE SIMMONS: "I NEVER EVEN DREAMED OF APPEARING IN GUITAR
HERO"
(from New Musical
Express)
Q92)
Legendary bassist explains how he became a video game star.
Kiss bassist Gene Simmons has admitted that he never "dreamed
of appearing" in the Guitar Hero franchise before he was approached to voice
their new video game Warriors Of Rock.
Simmons voices the characters in the game's 'quest mode', which trails
the story of the Demi-God Of Rock who has to free himself from the
shackles of The Beast and take him down by teaming up with eight other
characters.
Speaking to NME, Simmons said: "It started with a
phone call and I get lots of those. I thought initially they simply wanted to use a Kiss
song and I thought, 'Sure, why not.' And then it turns out they wanted me to voice it.

INTERVIEW WITH PETER CRISS
(from Q92)
Today is the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month not only in Canada, but around
the world as well. I had a chance to talk to one of the most high profile breast
cancer survivors in the world of rock and roll, Peter Criss, former drummer of KISS, aka
Catman! He was diagnosed a few years ago, but thanks to very early detection, he is
now cancer free and workign hard to get the message out that not only do women get hit
hard by this disease, but surprisingly men can as well. Hes not ashamed to
tell his story, nor should men in general be ashamed to get checked out if they think
something is amiss! If you missed todays interview, you can listen to it here!
Also, on October 17, Peter is walking to raise funds in New Jersey for the American
Cancer Society, which will help fund breast cancer research and treatment options not ONLY
in the US but around the world. Check out the details of his walk at his website,

GENE SIMMONS PREDICTS "MAJOR CHANGE" IN MIDTERM
ELECTIONS
(from Fox News)
LOS ANGELES Gene Simmons has never been one to shy
away from voicing his political opinions and the KISS frontman tells Pop Tarts he is
anticipating some serious power shifts to take place as a result of the midterm elections
in November.
"There is going to be major change. The American public is very, very angry. I
believed in this administration, and I voted for President Obama, I also voted for
President Clinton, and I also voted for President Bush, Simmons said this week at
the launch of Activisions Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock in Los Angeles.
I will vote my conscience, and I'll be damned if anybody is going to point a finger
at me and say vote along party lines. America is like me sometimes they
vote this way, sometimes they vote that way."
