However, things like this happened already in the past, it may also be just a temp

the dates mentioned here are confirmed! But since they are thinking about booking a show
in small market like Leipzig shows, that they are probably doing a lot of shows...

HOW KISS
GOT ITS GROOVE BACK
(from www.pe.com)
The 1998 Kiss studio CD, "Psycho Circus," looked more like a last gasp than the celebrated event it was intended to be.
The CD was billed as the return of the original Kiss, since it came in the midst of the reunion of guitarist/singer Paul Stanley and bassist/singer Gene Simmons with the two other original members, guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss.
"Psycho Circus," though, ended up being a lackluster effort on a musical level, and far less than advertised when it came to being called a triumphant return of the classic Kiss lineup.
So Kiss had something to prove when the band decided it wanted to make a new studio CD last year. For one thing, this was a new lineup for Kiss, with guitarist Tommy Thayer making his full-fledged debut and drummer Eric Singer, who since 1996 has been the band's drummer whenever Criss wasn't in the lineup, back on board.
Interestingly, the band decided that if Kiss was going to fail on this album -- the newly released "Sonic Boom" -- there would be no one to blame but the band members themselves, as Stanley took the reins on the project.
"I think the most important thing that I noticed about
this record was it was really done, well done, there was no outside producer," Singer
said, commenting in a recent phone interview about Stanley's role in the CD.

BRUCE
KULICK TO RELEASE "BK3" IN FEBRUARY
(from Blabbermouth)
If you ever play Six Degrees of Bruce Kulick, the former KISS/current
GRAND FUNK RAILROAD guitarist's résumé will keep you happily busy
for hours. Having been tapped by artists as diverse as Meat Loaf
and Kanye West, the veteran axeman's boundless creative energy
permeates his third solo LP, "BK3". In the works for
nearly six years and produced by Jeremy Rubolino, "BK3" delivers explosive hard rock arrangements and
addictive pop melodies that honor both Kulick's singular past and
bright future. And then there's the jaw-dropping guest list, boasting members of KISS, THE KNACK, TOTO, MÖTLEY CRÜE and more.
"Bruce was to KISS what Ronnie Wood is to the STONES," says Rocket Science GM & Fanboy Enterprises
A&R executive Ken Gullic. "The new guy to one generation,
and the long-standing stable horse to another."
After getting his solo feet wet with 2001's "Audio Dog"
and 2003's "Transformer", Kulick
the often unheralded driving force on 12 years of classic KISS
records, from 1984's "Animalize" to 1992's "Revenge" assembled his own rock 'n' roll dream team.
The roster: KISS icon Gene Simmons and
up-and-coming son Nick (each vocally appearing separately),
longtime friend John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE, Kulick's own UNION), KNACK
mainman Doug Fieger, TOTO axe authoritarian Steve Lukather, EDGUY power metal stalwart Tobias Sammet and even current KISS drummer Eric Singer.
"Many albums lack cohesion with different vocalists, but I know that my guitar
playing is the glue on 'BK3'," Kulick
says. "There was the clear goal of making absolutely the best record that I could put
together. I feel like this is my 'Revenge'."
"BK3" will be released on February 16 on Twenty 4 Records/Rocket Science Ventures.
"BK3" track listing:
01. Fate
02. Ain't Gonna Die (featuring Gene Simmons)
03. No Friend Of Mine (featuring John Corabi)
04. Hand of the King (featuring Nick Simmons)
05. I'll Survive
06. Dirty Girl (featuring Doug Fieger)
07. Final Mile
08. I'm The Animal (featuring Tobias Sammet & Eric Singer)
09. And I Know
10. Between The Lines (featuring Steve Lukather)
11. Life
The limited-edition EP that was created especially for Kulick's
last Australian guitar clinic tour can be heard on Kulick.net. The three tracks are also available for purchase via iTunes.

INTERVIEW
WITH BOB KULICK
(from noisecreep.com)
Veteran guitarist Bob Kulick has had the kind of career that speaks volumes of his range
and talent. He's the kind of musician who can lay down guitars on anything from hard rock
to R&B and not even flinch. He first came to most music geeks through his work with Kiss
in the '70s and his stint playing in Meat Loaf's Neverland
Express band. If you want to see Kulick and his brother Bruce (who later became lead
guitarist for Kiss) in action you should check out the just released 'Bat Out of Hell: The
Original Tour' DVD which was filmed in 1977.
As killer as Kulick's resume is, there was one name in it that stood out like a sore
thumb. Noisecreep spoke with the guitarist and asked him about his association with a
certain vanilla crooner.
You were born and bred in New York during the '50s and '60s, do you remember which bands
first hooked you in?
The Beatles and all of the acts that appeared on the Murray the K
(legendary N.Y.C. area DJ) concerts I would go see had the most impact on me. I also loved
the U.K. artists like the Animals, Gerry and the Pacemakers
and the Moody Blues. How about all of the black acts? I'm talking people
like Little Anthony and the Imperials, Patti LaBelle, Ben
E. King, the Ronettes etc.
Most Kiss fans know you from your various sessions with them throughout the years.
How did you initially come into their world?
I originally auditioned for the band but the one day Paul called me and said that they
were taking Ace but that I was the better player. He also said that we should keep in
touch, which we did.
It's widely known that you played Ace Frehley's parts on several Kiss albums but
you were often not credited in the liner notes. How did this work? Did you have to reach
some kind of financial agreement to keep things under cover?
By that time, Paul and Gene were my good friends but I especially got along with Paul and
we hung out a lot. One day they asked me the favor of filling in and I did. There was
never a piece of paper or anything like that. I was paid and never made a big fuss about
any of it. I wanted them to hear what they would have sounded like with me so there it
was. They got the best solos they had ever had (laughter).
When your brother Bruce got the Kiss lead guitar spot after Mark St. John, did you
continue to work with the band at any capacity?
No, but Paul and Gene recommended me for stuff all of the time, like the Diana Ross gig
and other sessions.
How do you feel about Kiss going out with Tommy Thayer playing the role of Ace?
I just have to say that he plays the stuff better than Ace (laughter). Tommy's a friend
and I'm happy to see him up there.
Your resume is long and varied with everyone from Lou Reed and W.A.S.P. to Meat
Loaf and Motörhead. But one artist sticks out more than the others. Please explain your
connection to Michael Bolton.
Michael Bolotin aka Michael Bolton! We worked together a lot years ago when he was doing a
Robert Plant kind of thing singing and dancing in the streets and rocking up R&B songs
but it never worked. As soon as he started singing the straight-up R&B songs that he
wrote, he became a megastar.

KISS KOMPENDIUM
(from Kissonline)
In '77, blood from each member of the rock band KISS was drawn by a registered nurse and
poured into vats of red ink used for printing the band's first comic book. It was created
by Marvel legend Stan Lee and was the beginning of a hugely successful KISS comic book
franchise. All are now out of print.
Now, for the first time, the KISS Kompendium combines the most breathtaking KISS comic
books into a lush oversized collector's compilation. Brought to life by graphic
illustrations as riveting and hardcore as the band's real-life fire-breathing line-up, the
Demon (Gene Simmons), Starchild (Paul Stanley), and the other band members' superhero
alter egos defeat evil in over 1200 pages of stunning KISS comics!
This is a book authorized by KISS. KISS founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley
have contributed the forewords to this. The book also includes exclusive never-before-seen
backstage photos from KISS' newest tour along with commentary by the band-members.
This is a must-have for every KISS fan eagerly awaiting the band's new album, their first
in over 10 years, and a perfect holiday gift for comic-book lover to pour over time and
time again.
The KISS Kompendium, over 1,200 pages of KISS comics - on sale December 8, 2009 - is

A KISS
FOR CANADA
(from calgaryherald.com)
KISS will gladly sell you the whole seat at one of their concerts -- we are talking
about Gene Simmons the entrepreneurial king, after all -- but you're only going to need
the edge of it.
Sure, it's a cliched slogan, one used primarily to sell tickets to monster truck events. But the description fits. KISS concerts, after all, are unlike anything the world has ever seen.
"We want to entertain you, and when you pay for a
high-priced ticket it should get you more than a guy on stool," said Paul Stanley,
the group's singer-guitarist. "When you get a ticket from us, we'll pummel you,
deafen you, blind you, cover you in confetti and you'll leave very satisfied."

WITH PAUL STANLEY
(from ABC News)
to see an interview with Paul Stanley about traveling.
It's probably safe to say the venue hasn't seen this much air guitar in a while. The audience of mostly 30- to 50-something dudes went absolutely wild for the former KISS guitarist, and it was almost as much fun to watch them rock out as it was to watch Frehley's hands slide, bounce and tap across his instrument.
Yes, he got his guitar to smoke and flame, using the trick he
started 30-plus years ago. And yes, it was totally awesome. (Milwaukee wasn't so lucky --
a man who attended the show at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Friday night said Frehley's
special smoke bomb malfunctioned.)

THE PRESS
(from Niklas Olsson/kissarmysweden.com)
The original KISS guitarist didn't plan it that way, he said recently in an interview from his home in Beverly Hills, but "it was a nice sentiment. It's something I've struggled with my whole life. There's been times in the past when I've had reasonable times of sobriety, but this is the longest time, three years."
Sobriety played a defining role in the album's development. He wrote many of the songs years ago, but couldn't get it together until about two years ago as his head started clearing.
"It enabled me to be more focused and more in touch with
what I do," said Frehley, 58. "I think I wrote better songs and perform
better."

INTERVIEW
WITH PAUL STANLEY
(from startribune.com)
The bellman was at the door to pick up
his luggage, his cell phone was ringing (the ringtone: Led Zeppelin's "Black Country
Woman") and he had a hacking cough. None of those interruptions prevented singer Paul
Stanley from talking about his favorite subject, Kiss.
As it celebrates its 35th anniversary, Stanley's band is hotter than an arena full of flamethrowers. The Kiss Alive 35 tour has filled stadiums in Europe and South America (it comes to Target Center Saturday). "Sonic Boom," Kiss' first album of new material in 11 years, debuted at No. 2 despite being available only at Wal-Mart. And after being shunted aside for 10 years, the band is finally on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot.
To top it all, "not only are we getting incredible response from the audience on tour, but it's odd to also get good reviews," Stanley said from Atlanta, with mock surprise.
Kiss' mouthpiece, who turns 58 in January, talked about "Sonic Boom," the status of former members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, and the newest Kiss products -- M&Ms and a Mr. Potato Head.
QWhy did you decide to go with a Wal-Mart exclusive for "Sonic Boom"?
AThe reality is that the music retail store has pretty
much dried up. The music industry is in a tumble, to say the least. And Wal-Mart offered
us the opportunity to put out a package that kind of followed our philosophy of giving
more than just an album. There was a time when we would include a Love Gun or a poster or
a tattoo -- something to just take it over the top. We were able to put together a package
that [also] has a CD of re-records of 15 songs and a DVD of excerpts from our most recent
stadium show in Buenos Aires. To be able to do that for 12 bucks, it's a no-brainer. Plus,
there are a lot more Wal-Marts at this point than there are record stores.
