EDDIE TRUNK: ACE IS NOT HOMELESS

Been getting many questions about my old friend Ace Frehley lately. As usual there seems to be a great deal of misinformation out there. So here are some facts:
I am not working with Ace as a producer or in any capacity on a new album. I did suggest a studio and possible producer to him WHEN he wants to do a new album to check out, and I know he did. He had interest from a label for a new album but no idea where he stands with that. Nothing imminent as far as I know.I have always helped Ace when he has asked, simple as that.

I did NOT tell Ace he shouldn’t reunite with old Frehley’s Comet band members. As a matter of fact I never discussed this with him at all. Reunions of any kind happen generally for one reason, because they will mean more people and mean more money. If a promoter truly feels a reunion with former members of the band will move the needle and there is enough demand maybe it will happen. But I have not discussed this with Ace at all!

Ace is NOT homeless. The house in the news lately he does not live in. He has lived in Southern California for a couple years now. Not NY.

All I know is that there was some talk of maybe some live shows soon and maybe an album at some point. When I know anything more I will let you know. Thanks!

ACE FREHLEY: "THEY WANTED TO KILL ME"
Tommy Thayers first concert with Kiss was 2002 in Jamaica for a rich Russian guy for about 150 people. Eric Singer now explained at the Indianapolis Kiss expo why Ace Frehley did not show up. Ace thought that they just wanted to get him out of the country so that they can kill him! They also had to cancel a European tour, because Ace didn't want to take part, he also did not show up for the rehearsals for the Olympics and for the recording of "Rock and Roll Radio... listen to Eric Singer talking about it here after 9:30 minutes.

ACE FREHLEY TO FIGHT FORECLOSURE IN JUNE

Former Kiss rocker Ace Frehley has paid overdue property taxes on his Yorktown home but continues to fight a foreclosure action.
The guitarist faces a June 11 foreclosure conference at Westchester County Court in White Plains regarding his home at 1347 Spring Valley Road. If he or his attorney can’t attend, the court must be informed a week beforehand, according to the May 8 notice.

On June 1, legendary rockers KISS will kick off the European leg of their "Monster" world tour in Stockholm, Sweden and they'll have a new stage show for the trek. VH1 Radio Network's Dave Basner caught up with the band's frontman, Paul Stanley, when he opened his new restaurant, Rock & Brews, in California on Wednesday and Paul spoke about what to expect from the jaunt.

"It's really great," Stanley said. "You know, for so many years, we've talked about a new stage show and basically what we've been doing has been an extension of the old stage show. So people would sometimes come and, obviously, the band does a great show and it's great to be there, but some people would say, 'Gee, it doesn't look that different.' This is a completely different stage, it follows a really great theme, the lights are like nothing you've ever seen before."

When pressed for more details, Paul said, "Um… I hate to give anything away but when you see first photos of this new tour, and we're headlining festivals all over Europe, I think people will be blown away by what we're doing onstage."

"Live from the Los Angeles basin, it's Fridays!" For the first time ever on DVD, ABC's cult hit Fridays is here! Originally airing from 1980 to 1982, these sixteen episodes showcase the edgy and subversive sketch comedy that helped launch the careers of Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Michael Richards (Seinfeld), Melanie Chartoff (Parker Lewis Can't Lose) and more.

Also featuring Mark Blankfield, Maryedith Burrell, Darrow Igus, Brandis Kemp, Bruce Mahler, and John Roarke, Fridays presented a hilariously twisted view of the early 80s to adventurous viewers on a weekly basis. Their outrageous characters - from the paranoid Drugs R Us Pharmacist to the rabbinical action heroes of Matzoi! to the laid-back Nat E. Dred, "The Rasta Gourmet" - left audiences laughing long into the wee hours of the night.

With vintage musical performances (including Devo, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Cars, The Clash, KISS and more) as well as the show's infamous guest appearances by the legendary Andy Kaufman, Fridays proved that late-night live comedy wasn't just for Saturday night.
On August 6th, Shout! Factory will release The Best of Fridays, a 5-DVD set priced at $39.99 SRP. Why "the best of," instead of something more complete? Shout! hasn't said, but if we were to take a guess at it then we're sure it has a lot to do with all the music rights that would need to be cleared for a program like this. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE GETS BACKING FOR NEIL BOGART BIOPIC, "SPINNING GOLD"

The long-in-development biopic Spinning Gold, about music producer Neil Bogart, has finally found a financier. Foresight Unlimited has come aboard the project to produce, finance, and handle worldwide sales.

Justin Timberlake is set to produce and also star as Bogart, a 1970s music industry icon who promoted the careers of such artists as KISS, Donna Summer, and the Village People before he died at age 39. His son, Timothy Scott Bogart, wrote the script for the biopic. Dreamgirls producer Laurence Mark, who earned an Oscar nomination for Jerry Maguire, will also produce.
