You wanted the best
.. now youve got em back!
Three years after their last sell-out Australian concerts, KISS will be back for a
national tour in May. And theyre coming back with a mighty big bang!
With very special guests the mighty Grinspoon and opening with Machine Gun Fellatio, the
May tour is going to be one giant night of rocknroll mayhem! But thats
not all.
Nearly 40,000 fans experienced the incredible one-off KISS Symphony concert teaming the
band with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Melbournes Telstra Dome in February
2003. Resulting in a huge selling and acclaimed DVD and live CD, the concert was such an
amazing experience, the band is keen to do it all over again.
So KISS has invited 12 members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to join the tour in
Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane for a special 30 minute encore performance. The original
arrangements scored by US conductor David Campbell, which married the symphony and rock,
were extraordinary and fans who missed out last time are in for a treat.
After KISS Symphony, the band toured the U.S with Aerosmith in one of the highest grossing
rock tours of 2003. Gene and Paul have also been working on solo albums due for release
soon.
With 32 albums, more than 90 million record sales and every accolade imaginable bestowed
upon them, KISS are still rockin its that simple.
Lineup-wise, Tommy Thayer continues as lead guitarist and Eric Singer who played on the
last Australian tour, is back behind the drum kit.
Special guests Grinspoon have sold almost half a million copies of their three
albums Guide To Better Living (1997), Easy (1999) and
The New Detention (2002) on their way to becoming one of the most
hard-working, hottest bands in the country.
Their Panic Attack tour last year was a complete
sellout, while the Chemical Heart single was voted in at #2 in last
years Triple J Hottest 100. After a break from touring while they record their
new album, seeing the Grinners on huge entertainment centre stages will be awesome!
The outrageous and devilishly entertaining Machine Gun Fellatio will kick the evening off
in their usual scintillating fashion. With the brand new single (Youve
Ruined All My) Favourite Songs crashing onto playlists everywhere, Chit Chat, Pinky
and the boys are salivating at the thought of joining KISS. Say no more.
KISS, members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Grinspoon and Machine Gun Fellatio
all in one night. Sounds like mayhem to us. Get in quick!

KISS NEWS
Nikki Sixx has announced, that he will definately not be
touring with his band in the States with Kiss this summer, but he still has an offer to
support Kiss in Europe in September.
The tickets for the shows in Japan went on sale already. The
promoter has officially announced a line-up with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. This
line-up is not yet confirmed by the band itself...
The Australian Tourdates are not yet officially confirmed.
According to www.kisskollector.com
there's some good news to report on original KISS lead guitarist and Spaceman, Ace
Frehley, who has been replaced by Tommy Thayer over the last few years. In the meantime,
Ace had been dedicating his time to new girlfriends and chemicals but since last year he
is seeing his (ex) wife Jeanette again. Jeanette has played an important role in getting
Ace clean and sober again. KISS' former guitarplayer - who has grown a full beard - has
been steadily visiting AA meetings and has stayed away from the party scene for almost six
months now!
The Release-date for Gene Simmons' solo album "Asshole" is set for May
18th, 2004.

MESSAGE FROM PETER CRISS TO HIS
FANS
(from www.petercriss.net)
I have been receiving thousands of fan mail as to what is going on with KISS. Today, my
contract ran out. No one, again no one has called me, or my attorney about an extension
for future touring. As a founding member I find this to be disrespectful to me, and to the
fans that have made us one of the biggest bands in the world. You will always get the
truth from me, I have no reason to lie to the people that gave me such a wonderful life.
And thats the gods honest truth.
God bless,
Peter Criss
P.S.
This is the stuff that breaks my heart.

Poison are on the bill as well...

GOD OF THUNDER BY SHIRLEYS
TEMPLE
(from Stig Karlsen)
KISS Army Norway present
God Of Thunder by Shirleys Temple
Releasedate 20th April (same day as Genes soloalbum).
First single from our upcoming KISS Army Norway tribute album will be God Of Thunder
performed by Shirleys Temple. The bands vocalist/guitarist Frank Tostrup are known as the
songwriter for the song Asshole witch Gene bought for his soloalbum. Shirleys Temple are
Gene's backingband on the song as well. Now as Gene has done a cover of Shirleys Temple
it's kind of cool that Shirleys Temple cover a KISS song too. The admiration goes both
ways.
The God Of Thunder single is a taste of what to come while the Norwegian fans wait for the
full album release. The album is expected to be released around the new year and will
include contributions by some of Norways biggest artist.
