KISS FANS FILM
(from Shawn Fox)
Hey Everyone at KISS NEWS...I just wanted to spread the word about a documentary
film I am working on about KISS FANS. Being a kiss fan/collector for 25
years and founder of the kiss tribute band KISSTORY i thought about making
a documentary film that would really capture what it's like to be part of the kiss
army, not the celebrities but the REAL kiss fans. The film will feature fans from
all over the world using personal footage and newly filmed interviews. I am looking for
anyone that has any personal footage they shot of meet and greet appearances, personal kiss
rooms, expo's,fan interviews,etc...or if your in a kiss tribute band and want to be
included. There will be NO KISS PERFORMANCES or COPYRIGHTED material included in the
film. I'd also like to locate as many fan pictures as possible of themselves with
kiss or any member of the band past or present to include in the film as well. This documentary is a movie about the fans...by the fans...for the fans. I
am really hoping to make this film something special for everyone and so far there is some
amazing footage going into it so if you want to be a part of a great project
that should be done by the summer of 2006...please drop me an email at kissarmymovie@aol.com
Thanks!

GENE SIMMONS CHEWING GUM ON EBAY
Just recently we stared the "inetresting auctions" section. After finding
Paul Stanley hair extensions we can now find something else: a used chewing gum from Gene
Simmons. The auction reads as follows:
Chewing gum or D.N.A. chewed from Rock Legend Gene
Simmons of one of the greatest bands in rock and roll history Kiss..
Here
it is. You can own some D.N.A. of a rock and roll legend Gene Simmons.
In mid January At the 2006 NAMM show in Anaheim California, Rock legend Gene Simmons
was busy filming a new reality T.V. show to be aired in mid Spring this year. After taking
several pictures of Mr. Simmons, he reached into his mouth and pulled out his chewing gum,
he then put his chewing gum into one of my bags. Gene Simmons then told me to sell this
piece of chewing gum on ebay. He then asked the camera crew if they got a shot of what he
did. The camera crew replied with a yes sir. I then was approached by a member of the
camera crew to sign a release form, so that I can be on television with Gene Simmons. As
Gene Simmons was walking away he again told me to sell the gum on ebay.

PAUL'S NEW SOLO CD TO BE TITLED
"LIVE TO WIN"
(from Blabbermouth.net)
KISS frontman Paul Stanley has confirmed to ABC Radio's ePrep that his new solo
album will be called "Live to Win". Stanley is still in the process of shopping
the record to labels in various countries, explaining, "There's nothing worse, that
I've seen in the past, [than] when you have a deal, let's say in America, and the company
in Germany hates your album." To combat that, the singer is seeking out different
labels internationally to assure they're all excited about the CD. He expects it to be in
stores in about four months.
Stanley is planning a tour to support the CD, and says he'll be bringing out a bigger band
than he's used at past solo gigs, "because there's a lot more going on on this
album." He estimates he'll have about six people in his band. As for the musicians he
used during the recording of "Live to Win" a list which includes session
drummer Victor Indrizzo, guitarist Corky James, former MARILYN MANSON and current ROB
ZOMBIE guitarist John 5, former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick (who plays bass on a few
songs) and noted string arranger David Campbell Stanley says, "[It's] some
friends of mine it's not a 'who's who.' I didn't want to do one of those albums
where you list people and it becomes some sort of a, trying to impress everybody with
names. So it's a great album. Everybody loves it." Other songtitles set to appear on
the CD include "Wake Up Screaming" and "Second to None".

KISS PUTTING FINISHING TOUCHES
ON LINE OF PERFUMES
(from Blabbermouth.net)
KISS are putting the final touches on a line of perfumes and colognes, the
group's frontman Paul Stanley said at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy
party, held at the Beverly Hilton in California Tuesday night (Feb. 7).
"They're unrepentantly sexy and a little naughty," he said, according to The
Canadian Press.
Stanley recently finished a solo album.
"It's been about 26 years since my last solo album. That's a big gap. There's a lot
of catching up to do," he said.
"It was something I really felt I needed to do. It was a labour of love. I didn't
have to worry about whether or not it was going to succeed if it sells 10 copies or
10 million copies my life doesn't change any."
KISS fans shouldn't worry though. While KISS members are always working on
independent projects, the band has no plans to part ways.
Said Stanley: "KISS is the virus that keeps on giving."

party from Wire Image: Arrivals, Cocktail Reception/Dinner, Red Carpet.

GENE: VACATION GOERS ARE LOSERS
(from Yahoo Music Australia)
Kiss icon Gene Simmons has no desire to take a break from his long-running career,
because he believes holidays are a waste of time. The 'God Gave Rock N Roll To You' star
is concerned his mind would wander if he took time out to relax on a beach, so he always
finds something creative to focus on. The 56-year-old says, "Young people who want to
go on vacation are losers. Time-wasters. I never go on vacation. I really enjoy what I do.
You're supposed to go on a beach some place, contemplate your naval and wait to die?"
