LRI:  Yeah (laughs), I knew there was quite a bit of back story before New England even got going.  It seemed to people on the outside to be something of an overnight success with the Top 40 hit ( “Don’t Ever Wanna Lose Ya”) and PAUL STANLEY producing the album but 
but it truly wasn’t.

GS:  It was an amazing time for all of us, we worked SO hard prior to that.  When I met those guys we had played together for some time with a slightly different lineup and gigged like crazy.

"ANONYMOUS" HACKER CHARGED IN BREACH OF GENE'S WEBSITE

A Connecticut man who federal authorities say is linked to the hacking group anonymous has been charged with trying to shut down the website operated by KISS frontman Gene Simmons.

Kevin George Poe, 24, of Manchester, Conn., was taken into custody without incident by FBI agents at the federal courthouse in Hartford.

Poe allegedly used the screen name spydr101 to a make denial of service attack against GeneSimmons.com. He was charged in a federal grand jury indictment in Los Angeles with one count each of conspiracy and unauthorized impairment of a protected computer.

ACE FREHLEY DESIGNED DIMEBAG DARRELL ART TRIBUTE GUITAR AT AUCTION

The Dean ML that original KISS guitarist ACE FREHLEY designed for Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute, has resurfaced and is up for auction. It's an amazing piece created by Dime's favorite guitarist. This is a super rare piece.

A description reads:
"This guitar is a one of a kind collectable piece of art. The art on this guitar was created by Ace Frehley of KISS. After 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott was killed on December 8th, 2004 there was a tribute to Dimebag charity auction where other heavy metal stars each did artwork on a Dean guitar (Dime's favorite) and those guitars were then auctioned and the money went to charity... This is one of those actual guitars. I have two others also - Bob Zilla of DAMAGEPLAN and Shannon Larkin's of GODSMACK. It is in the hard case with the engraved plaque. It has been stored in the case in a climate controlled room since the day of the auction. Dime's favorite number was 3 so we priced it accordingly but we are accepting offers."

CAMP FREDDY is the LA-based "jam" group featuring Dave Navarro , Billy Morrison, Matt Sorum , Donovan Leitch, and Chris Chaney.

It was long in the works, but now it is finally available: a full Rock Hard Kiss Special Edition!
In total 148 pages (including the posters) in full colour are well worth the money!

About 50 pages are completely new, the rest are reprints of old articles and interviews from "Rock Hard" magazine (see content). It includes new interviews with Gene Simmons and Peter Criss.
Gene says he believes, that Kiss will be doing another 10 studio albums. He also said, that Vinnie Vincent has sued Kiss already 14 times and he also lost 14 times. Peter and Ace can only be heard on 2 tracks on "Psycho Circus", the rest on the album was Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. And according to Gene, there will be one more Kiss Reunion, at some point at some time.

It neededa lot of talking to get Peter finally to do the interview, but Rock Hard wanted to have him in the magazine because they have never done an interview with Peter before. According to Peter his autobiography will be released at the same time as his new rock album by X-mas 2012. His book will supposedly be released also in German. He also says he really likes Germany because his grandfather was German.

GENE & PAUL SIGN SESSION
Gene & Paul did a sign session for the release of the "Archie meets Kiss" comic at "Golden Apple Comics" in Hollywood.
The event was limited to 100 people only. Fans started camping outside over night to be first in line. Someone has offered a signed copy of the comic already before the event ook place on eBay posting pics from the queue in front of the comic store. It got sold for $ 100,- immediately.
Gene & Paul took the time to sign also multiple items, talk to the people and pose for pictures. Videos from the event can be seen here and here. A photo can be seen here and here.

EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: "ARCHIE MEETS KISS"

Archie Comics has provided CBR News with an exclusive preview of the first chapter of Alex Segura and Dan Parent's "Archie Meets Kiss." The storyline kicks off in "Archie" #627, in stores this week, and the publisher is joining forces with KISS co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley to celebrate with a signing at Golden Apple Comics in Hollywood, CA. The signing, also featuring Segura and Parent, takes place Wednesday, November 30 at 7PM, with wristbands available to the first 100 people to visit Golden Apple starting at 10AM.
