SEBASTIAN BACH LOSES KISS MERCHANDISE TO HURRICANE "IRENE"
Sebastian Bach posted the following on Facebook:
I am numb, in shock, & devastated to report that my home of 21 years, my house featured on MTV Cribs, has been destroyed, condemned, & deemed uninhabitable due to the extreme flooding courtesy of Hurricane Irene.
In the 2 decades I have lived in this home, there has never been a single drop of water in the basement or anywhere else in the structure. Now Irene has overflowed the reservoir adjacent... to my house. The surging waters have snapped the bridge in half next to my house & sent the bridge straight into my garage, knocking the house off of its foundation. The basement that has been dry for over 2 decades is now overflowing with water & I am not even allowed to start pumping the water out due to fears of electrocution. Original Skid Row & KISS fans, I have bad news for you . Gone are irreplacable items, such as my KISS Gargoyles from the 1979 tour. KISS pinball machine. Somewhere under this water is a KISS pinball machine & 2 gargoyles from the Dynasty tour. If you see them floating past your house, they're mine. Or at least they were. Look out for KISS stuff floating in the river.

KISSOLOGY 4 DELAYED?
Wholesale dealers seem to have a tentative release date for Kissology 4 for November 29, 2011 in their system. However, no date or content has been confirmed. An official press release, which supposedly was ready for late August and had been pushed back until September seems to get delayed again. Now it seems that Kissology 4 will not get released before January 2012. The band is concentrating on their new "Monster" album and tour, which has now priority.
January however is a very unusual release date. No Kiss album or video has ever been released in the first month of the year. Releases are usually set in time for the X-mas market or much later...

DOUG ALDRICH ON AUDITIONING FOR KISS IN 1982

WHITESNAKE guitarist Doug Aldrich is featured in a new interview with Jeffrey Ougler at The Sault Star. An excerpt from the article is available below:
Fear of flubbing a guitar lick didn't have Doug Aldrich shaking all over. It was more like meeting KISS for the first time sans makeup that was enough to give the fledgling guitarist wrinkles.

In 1982, the 18-year-old had just moved to L.A. and the famous band just happened to be holding auditions to replace original axeman Ace Frehley, whose relationship with fellow bandmembers had peeled and cracked noticeably for some time.

KISS ALBUM INFOS
There is an interview with Gene and Paul in the new issue of "Classic Rock" magazine. Paul mentioned, that the album will feature 10 tracks. They will record more songs, which will be used as Bonus Tracks for various projects.
Songtitles include: Hell or hallelujah, Born to be a sinner, Out of this world (Tommy's song), Are you ready and Wall of sound. There will also be a book coming out to coincide with the album. And Gene's Solo Box Set "Alter Ego" will be out sometime when the band makes a break.

MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE CONCERT: WE'RE KILLING KISS FROM THE ROSTER

The promoters of the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert have heard fans loud and clear -- Gene Simmons, who has accused Michael of being a pedophile, and his band KISS, have been dropped from the roster.

There was a flurry of criticism after TMZ posted a story ... that Gene said last year, "There is no question in my mind he molested those kids.  Not a doubt."

The promoters tell TMZ, "We have listened to Michael's fans and are grateful to have been alerted to these unfortunate statements by Gene Simmons.  Under the circumstances we fully agree that even though KISS is a band Michael admired we have no choice but to rescind our invitation to them to appear in our tribute concert."

The Estate had fired off a letter to the promoters yesterday, expressing their displeasure over KISS performing at the concert.

KISS TO PLAY IN CARDIFF IN OCTOBER AT MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE

Los Angeles (CNN) -- The legendary rock band KISS signed up to pay tribute to Michael Jackson in an October concert that will also headline Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green and JLS, the promoters told CNN Monday.

Other major artists may be announced soon to round out the roster of acts for "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert" in Cardiff, Wales, according to promoter Global Live Events.

GARY MOORE's Wild Frontier Tour - Live At Isstadion is a new DVD featuring the late THIN LIZZY/SKID ROW legend on April 25th 1987 playing in front of 8,000 ecstatic Swedes. This DVD has only been available on (long deleted) VHS, and is on DVD for the first time. Moore's all-star line-up featured drummer Eric Singer, bassist Bob Daisley, guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Neil Carter.

PAUL & FAMILY: LUNCH IN BEVERY HILLS

GENE AND PAUL TO COLLABORATE ON MEMOIR

'Nothin’ To Lose' charting the band's rise will be published in Summer 2012.
Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, two of the founders of legendary superband KISS, are collaborating with rock journalist Ken Sharp on Nothin’ To Lose, an oral history of the band’s early years, from its founding in 1973 to the 1975 release of its breakout concert album Alive! The book will include interviews with bandmates Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, other rock stars of the era, and the behind-the-scenes players. The book will feature never-before-published photographs. IT Books, an imprint of Harper Collins is scheduled to publish the book in Summer 2012.

INTERVIEW WITH ERIC

KISS drummer Eric Singer recently sat down with BraveWords.com scribe, Mitch Lafon, for an all-encompassing three-hour chat. Part I of the sit-down can be found here. In Part II, Eric discusses more of KISS' upcoming plans.

On the upcoming KISSology IV DVD Box st: “It should be out before Christmas. It’ll be about twelve hours of stuff. Tommy has been putting it all together, but I can’t tell you exactly what is on it because we still have to get the rights to some of the stuff. The band has to buy the rights even if it’s only one song like on David Letterman or Jay Leno. Even though it’s your performance, it’s their show and they own it. KISSology IV picks up where the last one left off. For the most part it runs chronologically, but there is some old vintage stuff on there that they had been trying to find. It’s all a matter of clearance and them getting permission to use certain stuff. There’s an A list of stuff we want, a B list of stuff we know we can use and C list of stuff we have to wait and see if we can use, but I do know there will be a Cobo Hall (Detroit) concert from 2009.”
